Capturing a Sandbox
Capturing a sandbox is the same as capturing a regular click through demo.
Download the HowdyGo Chrome Extension
The extension works on any Chromium browser like Edge, Opera, Brave, Arc, etc. not just Chrome!
Before you can get started, you’ll need to install the HowdyGo Chrome Extension .
Starting a Capture
When you start capturing a sandbox, the extension will capture a snapshot of the page you’re on whenever you click. Simply put, 1 click = 1 step in the sandbox. If you mess up a click, don’t sweat it - this isn’t a video recording and you get plenty of editing features once you’re done to tweak the sandbox exactly how you want it.
Tip: Just get started, don’t worry about making a perfect sandbox the first time. Open up your app, sign in and start recording a flow.
Before you start, the extension provides you with a suggested optimal screen size. You don’t have to use this and can resize your window to any size you want, but for a sandbox it’s best to aim for a similar size to your normal full screen that you’d use during a live sales call.
When you’re ready, just click the big “Start Recording” button and click through your app!
Tips
- Use the full screen: For a sandbox it’s best to aim for a similar size to your normal full screen that you’d use during a live sales call.
- Click through different branches of your app: HowdyGo captures in a sequence, so if you want to show different states in a form/screen, it’s best to capture them in a sequence.
- Start from your “home” screen: If there’s a dashboard or home screen in your app that you’d normally start from, it’s best to start from there. Particularly if this screen has buttons that navigate to different sections of your app.
