For an overview of how Howdy AI works, including how it understands your product and the accept/decline workflow, see the Howdy AI overview.

Opening Howdy AI

Click the stars icon in the editor header to open the Howdy AI sidebar on the right side of the screen. You can close and reopen it at any time without losing your conversation.

Quick-Start Prompts

When you open Howdy AI in the demo editor, you will see suggested prompts to get started:

You can also type any message in your own words.

What Howdy AI Can Do for Interactive Demos

  • Write and rewrite the text on any step in your demo
  • Find and replace captured UI text across the demo
  • Organize your demo into chapters
  • Identify transitional steps and suggest auto-progress so viewers are not forced to click through unimportant actions
  • Translate, change tone, or personalize content for specific prospects

Bulk-edit captured UI text

Paste a long list into the chat, or attach a .csv or .txt file, when you need to update many values in the captured interface. Use it to replace customer names, anonymize a dataset, or number a long list of records.

Tell Howdy AI how the supplied values should change. For example:

Replace each name in this file with Customer 1, Customer 2, and so on.

A file can contain one value per line or a two-column find-and-replace mapping. Howdy AI checks which source values appear in the demo before proposing edits, then lists any values it cannot find.

You can attach up to five .csv or .txt files in a conversation, with a maximum size of 512 KB each. A single edit batch can contain up to 100 replacements. For a longer list, Howdy AI prepares the first batch and tells you what remains so you can continue.

Howdy AI can edit step content and captured UI text. For reordering steps, adjusting positions, or replacing media, use the step editor and HTML editor directly.
