Video Bubbles
Video bubbles allow you to add personal video overlays to your interactive demos, creating a more engaging and personalized experience for your viewers. You can either record videos directly within the editor or upload pre-recorded videos to appear at specific points in your demo.
What are Video Bubbles?
Video bubbles are small video overlays that appear in the bottom-right corner of your demo. They’re perfect for:
- Personal introductions - Introduce yourself at the beginning of the demo
- Step explanations - Provide detailed explanations for complex features
- Tips and insights - Share best practices or insider knowledge
- Call-to-actions - Add a personal touch to encourage next steps
Pro tip: Video bubbles are especially effective for demos sent via email or shared with prospects, as they add a human element that helps build trust and connection.
How to Add Video Bubbles
1. Access the Video Bubble Editor
While editing your demo, you’ll see a small webcam icon below your demo.
2. Choose Your Method
You have two options for adding video content:
Record Tab
- Direct recording - Record video directly from your webcam
- Real-time creation - Create content on the spot while editing
- Immediate feedback - See exactly how your video will look in the demo
Upload Tab
- Pre-recorded content - Upload videos you’ve already created
- Professional quality - Use higher-quality recordings from external tools
- Batch preparation - Prepare multiple videos in advance
3. Recording a Video Bubble
When using the Record tab:
- Position yourself - Make sure you’re well-lit and centered in the frame
- Test your audio - Ensure your microphone is working clearly
- Keep it concise - Aim for 15-30 seconds for optimal engagement
- Click record - Start recording when you’re ready
- Review and confirm - Preview your recording before adding it to the demo
The video bubble will automatically flip horizontally so that it appears as if you’re looking at the viewer rather than at yourself in a mirror.
4. Uploading a Video Bubble
When using the Upload tab:
- Select your file - Choose a video file from your computer
- Wait for upload - The system will process and optimize your video
- Preview placement - See how the video looks in context
Supported formats:
- MP4 (recommended)
- WebM
- MOV
Optimal specifications:
- Resolution: 400x400 pixels or higher (square aspect ratio works best)
- Duration: 15-60 seconds
- File size: Under 50MB for best performance, although we do process the videos to ensure they are optimized for the web.
Managing Video Bubbles
Preview Mode
Once added, you can:
- Play/pause the video to review content
- Adjust timing with the built-in trimming tools
- Delete the video bubble if it’s no longer needed
Trimming Videos
Use the trimming feature to:
- Remove unwanted sections from the beginning or end
- Focus on key moments by cutting out pauses or mistakes
- Optimize length for better viewer engagement
Important: Video trimming is permanent. Make sure you’re happy with your edits before confirming the trim operation.
Position and Timing
Video bubbles automatically appear:
- Bottom-right corner of the demo viewport
- At the current step where you added them
- Above chapter navigation (if enabled) to avoid overlap
Video bubbles are not shown on mobile devices.
Best Practices
Content Guidelines
- Keep it personal - Let your personality shine through
- Stay focused - One key message per video bubble
- Be authentic - Genuine enthusiasm is more engaging than perfect delivery
- Provide value - Offer insights that aren’t obvious from the demo itself
Technical Tips
- Good lighting - Face a window or use a ring light for better video quality
- Stable setup - Use a tripod or stable surface to avoid shaky footage
- Clean background - Keep the focus on you and your message
- Test audio - Clear audio is more important than perfect video
Strategic Placement
- Demo introduction - Welcome viewers and set expectations
- Complex features - Explain difficult concepts that need extra context
- Key benefits - Highlight important value propositions
- Demo conclusion - Provide next steps or call-to-action

Advanced Features
Chapter Navigation Integration
When you have chapters enabled in your demo, video bubbles automatically adjust their position to avoid overlapping with the chapter navigator, ensuring both features work seamlessly together.
