Translate Your Demo
Howdy AI can translate your demo’s step content into any language. It rewrites headings, comments, button labels, and opt-in text in your target language while preserving the meaning and tone of the original.
How It Works
- Open Howdy AI and click Translate (or type something like “translate my demo to French”)
- If you did not specify a language, Howdy AI asks which language you want
- It works through each step, presenting translated content as accept/decline previews
- Accept each translation to apply it
What Gets Translated
- Step headings
- Step comments
- Overlay step button labels
- Overlay step opt-in text
Howdy AI does not translate text that is part of the captured UI (the screenshot/recording). To change UI text, use the HTML editor.
Tips
- Duplicate your demo first. If you want to keep the original language version, duplicate the demo before translating. This gives you separate demos for each language.
- Review industry terminology. AI translations are good for general content but may not use your industry’s preferred terms. Check any domain-specific language.
- Translate in one pass. It is easier to translate the entire demo at once rather than step by step, so the tone stays consistent.
- Specify formality. Some languages have formal and informal registers. Tell Howdy AI if you want formal language: “Translate to German using formal Sie.”
For the best results, make sure your demo has content written in the source language before translating. If steps are empty, use Write Demo Content first, then translate.
